A delightful twist on the classic Chicken Parmesan, made healthier and easier with the air fryer. Crispy breaded chicken topped with marinara and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 large Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs, preferably Italian-seasoned
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce, plus more for serving
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • Olive Oil Spray (just a few spritzes for crisping)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Gather all your ingredients and wash the chicken breasts, patting them dry.
  2. Set Up the Breading Station: In three bowls, place beaten eggs, breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Dip chicken in eggs, then in breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. Air Fry the Chicken: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C), spritz basket with olive oil, and cook the chicken for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Add the Cheese and Marinara: Top cooked chicken with marinara and mozzarella, then air fry again for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Serve and Enjoy!: Plate with extra marinara, garnish, and dig in!

Notes

Don’t rush the breading for best crunch. Check internal temperature of chicken to reach 165°F (75°C).
