This delightful creation combines creamy cheesecake with warm, spiced apples and a crunchy oat topping, all wrapped in a soft loaf.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples gently until evenly dispersed in the batter.
  7. Combine the oats and brown sugar in a small bowl, then pour in the melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the oat topping over the surface.
  9. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
