A delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors, this Baked Balsamic Chicken Breast is juicy and tender, infused with balsamic vinegar and honey.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, honey, dried thyme, and dried rosemary in a bowl.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  4. Arrange the chicken breasts in a baking dish in a single layer.
  5. Marinate the chicken by pouring the balsamic mixture over it and turning to coat evenly; marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  6. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Rest the chicken for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. You can substitute red wine vinegar for balsamic if necessary.
