A simple yet delightful dish that combines sweet honey and savory garlic, resulting in juicy, tender chicken coated in a glossy sauce.

  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Place the chicken in a baking dish and pour the honey garlic mixture over it, making sure it’s well-coated.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. If you desire a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a little water and add it to the dish during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  6. Remove from oven, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, and serve.

Notes

Serve this chicken over jasmine rice or with steamed veggies for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
