Delightfully chewy brownies infused with banana flavor and topped with a rich brown butter frosting.

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • 1/4 cup brown butter (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter and mix in brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the ripe bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then add to the banana blend until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat for frosting.
  8. Mix the browned butter with powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  9. Frost the cooled brownies and cut into squares.

Notes
