Crispy shrimp enveloped in a creamy, spicy sauce served in delicious corn tortillas with shredded cabbage.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • Corn tortillas
  • Shredded cabbage
  • Chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Soak the shrimp in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
  2. Set up the breading station with flour and panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Dredge shrimp in flour, dip in buttermilk, and coat in panko.
  5. Fry the shrimp until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Create the Bang Bang sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and lime juice.
  7. Warm the corn tortillas in a pan.
  8. Assemble the tacos with shrimp, shredded cabbage, and drizzle with Bang Bang sauce.
  9. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crunch, double-dip the shrimp before frying.
