BBQ Chicken Mac and Cheese

A delightful combination of cheesy mac and cheese and tangy BBQ chicken, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar and mozzarella mix)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil your macaroni. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Combine the goodness. Add the cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, milk, and half of the shredded cheese.
  4. Stir until well combined and heated through.
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
  6. Bake to perfection. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish and serve. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or oven. Can freeze portions for later use.
