Delicious BBQ pulled pork sandwiches made with tender, slow-cooked pork shoulder, topped with BBQ sauce and optional coleslaw.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: coleslaw for topping

Instructions

  1. Season the pork shoulder generously with salt and pepper, ensuring every nook and cranny is covered.
  2. Place the seasoned pork shoulder into the slow cooker.
  3. Chop your onion and scatter it over the pork.
  4. Pour the BBQ sauce generously on top.
  5. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  6. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  7. Mix the shredded pork with any leftover BBQ sauce in the slow cooker.
  8. Pile the pulled pork high on the hamburger buns and top with coleslaw if desired.

Notes

Serve with crispy fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
