Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Brown the Beef: Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef to the pan, and stir-fry until it’s nicely browned. Remove the beef and set it aside.
  3. Infuse Flavors: In the same pan, pour in the sesame oil, and toss in the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Cook the Broccoli: Next, add the broccoli florets along with a splash of water; cook until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  5. Combine Everything: Return the beef back to the pan; mix everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot over cooked rice.
