Delicious beef nachos topped with melted cheese and fresh ingredients for a perfect snack or meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning
  • Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the ground beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then add taco seasoning and mix well.
  2. Preheat your oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Prepare the chips: On a large baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.
  4. Layer the goodness: Layer the cooked beef, refried beans, and shredded cheese evenly over the chips.
  5. Spice things up: Add the jalapeño slices on top of the nacho layers.
  6. Bake to perfection: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Finish with flavor: Remove from the oven and drizzle salsa and sour cream over the hot nachos.
  8. Garnish and serve: Garnish with chopped green onions before serving to bring a pop of color and freshness.

Notes

For added flavor, try marinating the beef with lime juice and garlic before cooking. Feel free to swap beef for turkey or make it vegetarian with black beans.
