  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Eggs (optional, for added protein)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. Make the gravy by whisking in the flour, then gradually adding the milk until thickened.
  4. Layer half of the biscuit pieces, the sausage mixture, and half the cheese in a greased baking dish. Repeat.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
