A comforting dish featuring creamy fettuccine and succulent blackened shrimp, perfect for summer evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the shrimp with blackening seasoning until well coated.
  3. Sear the shrimp in olive oil over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until blackened and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Create the creamy sauce by pouring in heavy cream and bringing to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine the cooked fettuccine and blackened shrimp with the sauce, tossing to combine.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
