Delightful blueberry baked donuts that are soft, fluffy, and perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan, ensuring each cavity is well-coated to prevent sticking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Whisk until evenly distributed.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix gently until just combined—don’t overdo it!
  5. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, being careful not to crush them. You want to keep their lovely shape and juices.
  6. Using a spoon or piping bag, carefully spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. The donuts should be golden brown and spring back lightly when touched.
  8. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, it’s time to enjoy your delicious baked donuts!

Notes
