  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables for serving
  • Optional: extra vegetables (like bell peppers or onions), coconut cream

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Pour in the bourbon and let it simmer until slightly reduced.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  6. Incorporate the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are fully cooked through.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; this dish doesn’t freeze well due to the cream.
