A comforting and delicious casserole that combines the heart of pizza with the coziness of a warm biscuit dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Biscuit dough
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef or turkey)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup assorted pizza toppings (bell peppers, onions, olives, or halved cherry tomatoes)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the meat in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until browned.
  3. Prepare the biscuit dough by cutting each biscuit into quarters.
  4. Mix the cooked meat, pizza sauce, biscuit pieces, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, and toppings in a large bowl.
  5. Assemble the casserole in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading the mixture evenly, and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
