A light and fluffy angel food cake layered with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, perfect for summer picnics and celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 box angel food cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to package instructions for the angel food cake.
  2. Combine the angel food cake mix with 1 cup of water and mix according to package instructions.
  3. Pour the batter into an ungreased pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden.
  4. Cool the cake completely before removing it from the pan.
  5. Mix the sliced strawberries with the strawberry jam in a bowl.
  6. Slice the cooled cake into layers.
  7. Layer the cake with whipped cream and strawberry filling, repeating until all layers are stacked.
  8. Finish with whipped cream on top.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar and add additional strawberries if desired.
  10. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For extra flavor, customize your whipped cream with a hint of vanilla or lemon zest.
