Ingredients

  • Chicken (whole or parts)
  • Soy sauce
  • Hoisin sauce
  • Honey
  • Five spice powder
  • Rice (for serving, optional)
  • Noodles (for serving, optional)
  • Bao buns (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Create the Marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and five spice powder together to create a marinade.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Coat the chicken in the marinade and let it sit for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Roast the Chicken: Place the marinated chicken on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 30-40 minutes.
