Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Melt on Sourdough

An indulgent sandwich featuring crispy bacon, sharp cheddar, and toasted sourdough bread.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4–6 slices roasted turkey breast (deli or leftover)
  • 4 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or butter (for spreading)
  • Optional: tomato slices, Dijon mustard, or caramelized onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread mayonnaise or butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer with roasted turkey, crispy bacon, and cheddar cheese. Add optional ingredients if desired.
  5. Top it off with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden and cheese starts to melt. Flip and cook the other side.
  7. Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm.

Notes

For a classic pair, enjoy with tomato soup or a green salad. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to two days.
