Delicious homemade cheesy breadsticks that are golden, gooey, and perfect for snacks or sides.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (110°F / 45°C)
  • 2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until it forms a dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  7. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with minced garlic, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with marinara sauce or Alfredo dip. Store leftovers wrapped tightly for up to 2 days.
