Instructions

  1. Prepare the Broth Base: In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, shredded chicken, and chopped vegetables. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine the Wet Ingredients: Add the milk and melted butter to your dry mixture. Stir until just combined.
  4. Drop the Dumplings into the Broth: Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the dumpling dough into the simmering broth.
  5. Cover and Cook: Cover the pot with a lid and let the dumplings cook for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Serve Hot: Once the dumplings are cooked through, gently serve them in bowls with broth.

Notes

For extra flavor, sauté the vegetables in butter before adding them to the broth. You can experiment with herbs for added taste.
