A rich and creamy chocolate filling perfect for cakes, cupcakes, and pastries.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Allow the filling to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until it thickens to your desired consistency.

Notes

Chop the chocolate into small, even pieces for easier melting. Store leftover filling in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
