Indulge in these chewy, luscious cookie bars layered with rich chocolate and gooey caramel, evoking sweet memories in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  4. Spread the caramel sauce evenly over the pressed oat mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
  6. Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top of the chocolate chips.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature.
