Deliciously healthy chocolate cocoa puffs made with oats, perfect for snacking or breakfast.

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the rolled oats in a food processor or high-speed blender and pulse until they form a fine flour-like consistency.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the oat flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until evenly distributed.
  4. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Add the honey and water to the melted chocolate, stirring well to combine.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a thick, moldable dough forms.
  7. Roll small portions of dough into pea-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking after 15 minutes until firm and slightly darkened.
  9. Let them cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring to an airtight container.

Notes

Store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Can be frozen for future enjoyment.
