A delightful treat combining the crispness of Saltine crackers and the sweetness of toffee with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drizzle of chocolate.

Ingredients

  • Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. Melt the butter and brown sugar together in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until combined.
  4. Bring the mixture to a bubble, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the toffee mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon and granulated sugar.
  8. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the toffee.
  9. Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces and serve.

Notes

Use genuine unsalted butter to control salt levels; monitor baking closely to avoid burning.
