A delightful dessert combining the flavors of churros and toffee, featuring a crispy, chewy treat rolled in cinnamon sugar.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and brown sugar together in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth.
  3. Coat graham cracker crumbs in the melted mixture until everything is fully coated.
  4. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in a thin, even layer.
  5. Pop it in the oven and bake for 10 minutes until golden.
  6. Add chocolate chips over the hot toffee layer.
  7. Spread the chocolate once softened to create a layer on top of the toffee.
  8. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and sprinkle over the chocolate layer.
  9. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the top if desired.
  10. Cool completely at room temperature before breaking it into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can also be refrigerated for up to two weeks.
