  • 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 12 tbsp milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Mix together the almond flour and powdered sugar until well combined.
  3. Whip the egg whites until frothy, then gradually add granulated sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients into the egg whites gently.
  5. Pipe the macaron batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Let the macarons rest for 30-60 minutes until a skin forms on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating together cream cheese and butter, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
  9. Assemble the cooled macarons with the cream cheese frosting.
  10. Dust the macarons lightly with cinnamon before serving.

Notes

Ensure egg whites are at room temperature for better volume. Sift dry ingredients twice for a smoother texture.
