Deliciously soft and sweet Pecan Cinnamon Rolls, perfect for brunch gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Heat the milk and unsalted butter until melted.
  3. Create the dough by mixing the warm milk mixture with the dry ingredients and knead.
  4. Let the dough rise covered for about 1 hour.
  5. Roll the dough out on a floured surface and add filling ingredients.
  6. Form the rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the rolls once cooled slightly.

Notes

Serve warm with coffee or tea. Can also add fruits or yogurt for balance.
