A nostalgic recipe for classic egg salad, perfect for sandwiches or served on lettuce.

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or green onions
  • Lettuce leaves (for serving)
  • Bread (for sandwiches, optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the eggs into small pieces.
  2. Combine the chopped eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix until well combined and maintain the lovely egg texture.
  4. Stir in the chopped chives or green onions for added freshness.

Notes

For perfectly hard-boiled eggs, simmer for 9-12 minutes and then cool them in cold water.
