Classic Tzatziki

A refreshing and tangy Greek dip made with yogurt, cucumber, and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Grate the cucumber and squeeze out moisture using a towel.
  2. Mince the garlic finely.
  3. Combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, vinegar or lemon juice, and chopped dill in a bowl.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, then cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve chilled with pita bread or as a sauce for grilled meats.

Notes

A great dip that pairs well with grilled meats, wraps, and even roasted potatoes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
