A nostalgic Coca-Cola Cake that combines sweet soda and rich cocoa for a delicious, moist dessert.

  • 1 cup Coca-Cola
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Combine 1 cup of Coca-Cola, 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, and 1/2 cup of vegetable oil in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
  4. Whisk together 2 large eggs and 1/2 cup of buttermilk in a large bowl.
  5. Carefully add the boiled Coca-Cola mixture to the wet ingredients and stir to combine.
  6. Mix 2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in another bowl.
  7. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for added indulgence.
