A velvety coconut chocolate mousse that delights with tropical flavors and rich textures, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (400ml) full-fat coconut milk, chilled overnight
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Shredded coconut for topping
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Chill the coconut milk by placing it in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 8 hours.
  2. Scoop out the thick, solid coconut cream from the top of the can into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Beat the mixture until light and fluffy.
  4. Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness or chocolate flavor if necessary.
  5. Divide the mousse into serving bowls and cover. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  6. Top with shredded coconut before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or espresso powder. This mousse can be made a day in advance for convenience.
