A comforting dish featuring chicken breasts coated in a rich and creamy mushroom and Asiago sauce, perfect for cozy autumn nights.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Asiago cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pasta or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and add them to the skillet.
  3. Cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the chicken and set aside to keep warm.
  5. Sauté the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms in the same skillet until tender, about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in the Asiago cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce for a few minutes.
