A comforting creamy pasta dish with tender penne, chicken, asparagus, and mushrooms in a luscious cream sauce.

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the minced garlic, sliced mushrooms, and asparagus to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through.
  5. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
