A quick and satisfying one-pot meal featuring ground beef and creamy pasta shells, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups small pasta shells
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the aromatics: In a large pot over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary. Then, stir in the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Introduce the pasta: Once the beef and aromatics are combined, add the small pasta shells to the pot, stirring to mix well.
  3. Pour in the broth: Gradually pour in the beef broth, ensuring the shells are submerged. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 12-15 minutes until the pasta is al dente.
  4. Create creamy goodness: Stir in the heavy cream and shredded cheese. Mix until the cheese has melted and the sauce becomes creamy. Adjust with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Garnish and serve: Remove the pot from heat and serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version. Add spinach for extra nutrients.
