Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (smooth)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Oil for frying or baking

Instructions

  1. Combine mashed potatoes with flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into fry-like pieces and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Cook the fries by either frying in hot oil for 3-4 minutes per side or baking at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oil or oven and let them drain on paper towels, then serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

Ensure mashed potatoes are smooth to prevent fries from falling apart. Experiment with spices for different flavor profiles.
