Rich, chocolaty brownies with a satisfying, fudgy texture and a delightful crackly top.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  3. Mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until glossy.
  4. Combine cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into your prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool the brownies before slicing them into squares.
