A nostalgic no-bake dessert featuring layers of creamy chocolate pudding and crunchy Oreo crumbs, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of Oreo cookies
  • 1 package of cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 tub of whipped topping (8 oz)
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 package of instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)
  • Gummy worms (for decoration, optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and rolling over them with a rolling pin. Set them aside; this will be the “dirt” layer of our cake.
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth. This creamy base will add richness to your pudding layers.
  3. Prepare the chocolate pudding by whisking together the milk and instant chocolate pudding mix in another bowl until it thickens. Allow it to sit for a couple of minutes for the perfect consistency.
  4. Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture gently, incorporating it until everything is light and fluffy.
  5. Combine the cream cheese mixture with the pudding mixture carefully. Stir until well mixed and completely smooth—this is where the magic starts!
  6. Layer half of the crushed Oreos at the bottom of a serving dish, followed by the pudding mixture. Then, add the rest of the crushed cookies to create that delightful “dirt” on top.
  7. Get creative and top your dirt cake with gummy worms to add an element of fun and whimsy. Your cake is now ready for an adventure!
  8. Refrigerate the Dirt Cake for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld beautifully together.

Notes

This dessert will keep well covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Softening cream cheese can be done quickly by cutting it into smaller cubes and letting it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
