Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan to prevent the bread from sticking.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in another bowl until nicely blended.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar over the batter.
  6. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar, adding extra cinnamon if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea!

Notes

Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
