A delightful layered cake featuring chocolate, cream cheese, and coconut, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 package chocolate cake mix (18.25 oz)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly on the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions and pour it over the nuts.
  4. Combine the powdered sugar, cream cheese, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth and pour over the cake batter.
  5. Top the cake with shredded coconut and chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 4-5 days.
