  • 0.5 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Combine the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix gently.
  6. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is thin.
  7. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
  8. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
