Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until fully combined.
  2. Whisk Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gently combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; a few lumps are totally okay.
  4. Preheat the Skillet: Heat your skillet over medium heat and grease it lightly.
  5. Pour the Batter: Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  6. Cook and Flip: Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
  7. Serve Warm: Serve the pancakes warm with syrup or toppings of your choice.

Notes

For fluffier pancakes, avoid over-mixing the batter and let it rest for about 5 minutes before cooking.
