Delicious and elegant fig and goat cheese pinwheels wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for gatherings or as a fancy appetizer.

Ingredients

  • Fresh figs
  • Goat cheese
  • Puff pastry
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Dust your work surface lightly with flour, then roll out the puff pastry.
  3. Spread the creamy goat cheese over the surface of the puff pastry.
  4. Slice your fresh figs and arrange them on top of the goat cheese.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and freshly cracked pepper over the figs and cheese.
  6. Starting from one edge, tightly roll the pastry into a log shape.
  7. Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled pastry into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  8. Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil.
  10. Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  11. Once they’re out of the oven, serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for about 10 minutes.
