A simple and flavorful focaccia bread featuring garlic and Parmesan cheese, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
  • 1 packet instant yeast (about 2 ¼ teaspoons)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ¼ cup olive oil (plus some for drizzling)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • â…“ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Gather ingredients.
  2. Activate yeast by combining warm water and yeast, let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Mix wet and dry ingredients until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Place the kneaded dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  7. Once risen, punch down the dough and transfer to a greased baking sheet.
  8. Using your fingers, dimple the dough surface, drizzle with olive oil, and add toppings.
  9. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Remove from oven, cool, cut into squares, and enjoy warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month. Allow to thaw and warm in the oven when ready to eat.
