A warm and nostalgic grilled cheese sandwich, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
  • Butter (for spreading)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Lay one slice of bread in the skillet, butter-side down.
  4. Add the slices of cheese on top of the bread.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook until the cheese is melted.
  7. Slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a bowl of tomato soup or elevate with spreads like pesto.
