  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Create the marinade by mixing together the olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Coat the flank steak thoroughly in the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes—preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat your grill to high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade.
  5. Grill the flank steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  6. Let the grilled steak rest for 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  7. Slice the steak against the grain for maximum tenderness and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes
