A comforting and savory Ground Beef Stroganoff with a rich, creamy sauce and tender egg noodles.

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbly.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for about four minutes until soft and translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Brown the ground beef, breaking it into small crumbles, and cook until fully browned.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well.
  6. Pour in the beef broth, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
  7. Add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, stirring until well combined.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper, distributing evenly.
  9. Simmer for five minutes, stirring occasionally.
  10. Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  11. Incorporate the sour cream until fully blended and smooth.
  12. Add the drained noodles to the skillet, gently stirring to coat.
  13. Warm through on low heat for another few minutes.
  14. Serve and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Feel free to customize by adding mushrooms or using ground turkey for a lighter option.
