A creamy and decadent guava cheesecake that transports you to tropical shores with its rich flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Maria cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup guava purée
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the crushed Maria cookies and melted butter until fully combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  4. Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream.
  7. Pour half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  8. Spread guava purée over the cream cheese layer.
  9. Pour the remaining cream cheese mixture on top.
  10. Swirl the guava purée into the cheesecake mixture with a knife.
  11. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  12. Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For best texture, chill overnight and ensure cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing.
