A creamy and spicy dip made with white beans and jalapeños, perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 can white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lime or lemon
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes for garnish
  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • Veggie sticks, pita wedges, or tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Gather your ingredients and discard the liquid from the can of white beans. Rinse them thoroughly under cold water and drain. Seed and chop the jalapeños, and mince the garlic.
  2. Combine the Ingredients in a Blender: In a blender, add the prepared white beans, jalapeños, minced garlic, olive oil, and the juice of your chosen citrus.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Put the lid on the blender, and blend everything until you achieve a creamy, smooth consistency.
  4. Transfer the Dip: Carefully transfer the blended dip into your favorite serving dish, giving it a taste test.
  5. Garnish the Dip: Sprinkle the top with fresh cilantro and red pepper flakes, and drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil on top.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Serve your Hissy Fit Dip warm or chilled, alongside veggie sticks, pita wedges, or tortilla chips.

Notes

Adjust the number of jalapeños for spice preference. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
