Homemade Mozzarella Sticks

Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, these homemade mozzarella sticks are perfect for snacks or parties!

Ingredients

  • Mozzarella cheese sticks
  • Flour
  • Eggs
  • Bread crumbs
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the mozzarella cheese into uniform sticks, about 4 inches long.
  2. Set up your breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs mixed with seasoning.
  3. Coat each cheese stick in flour, then dip it in eggs, and finally roll it in the seasoned bread crumbs.
  4. Heat about an inch of oil over medium heat in a frying pan.
  5. Fry the breaded mozzarella sticks for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with marinara sauce.

Notes

Use low-moisture mozzarella for best results. Chill un-fried sticks for 30 minutes to prevent leaking during frying.
