Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Melt the butter and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
